As Founder & CEO of Kaplow Communications, Liz reinvented the practice of public relations with a focus on evocative storytelling when she opened her eponymous agency more than thirty years ago. Liz continues to make a lasting mark on the industry by integrating emerging technologies into strategic communications practices while never losing the agency’s sought-out high-touch approach.
Under Liz’s leadership, Kaplow has elevated the reputations of beauty, lifestyle and health & wellness brands including Target, Bluemercury, Fidelity Investments, Stanley, CVS, 23andMe, Microsoft, among many others.
Understanding that professional growth is often inspired by our personal choices, Liz created an agency that is emblematic of an important shift in communications – one where trust, respect, energy and enthusiasm is nurtured and rewarded. Liz’s commitment to mentorship, advancement for all employees and the importance of positive workplace culture has consistently earned her agency a spot on several Top Places to Work in PR lists. Recognized throughout the industry for her leadership, Liz has been honored by New York Women in Communications (NYWICI) with its coveted Matrix Award and by PR News with a Top Women in PR Award. Liz was inducted into PRWeek’s Hall of Femme in 2020 and is an honorary member of Global Women in PR. Liz also serves on the board of Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW), the leading beauty trade organization for which Kaplow has served as the agency of record for more than two decades.
A lover of the arts, Liz studied English at Vassar College and graduated with honors. She can often be found sharing inspiration with the next generation, which includes her two daughters and granddaughters.
